How to Set Up Your Kibolu Smart Pet Feeder in 5 Minutes

What's in the Box

Before you start, let's make sure you have everything:

• ✅ 1× Kibolu Smart Pet Feeder (2L capacity)
• ✅ 1× USB-C charging cable
• ✅ 1× Stainless steel food bowl
• ✅ 1× Quick-start guide

Not included: 3× D-cell batteries for backup power (recommended but optional).

Step 1: Download the App (30 seconds)

Download the Kibolu app from the App Store (iOS 11+) or Google Play (Android 6+). Create your free account with your email address.

Step 2: Power Up the Feeder (30 seconds)

Plug the USB-C cable into the back of the feeder and connect it to any USB power adapter (5V/1A — your phone charger works fine). The LCD display will light up.

Optional: Insert 3× D-cell batteries into the bottom compartment for power backup. This ensures your pet's schedule continues even during power outages.

Step 3: Connect to WiFi (60 seconds)

This is the step where most people get stuck, so follow carefully:

1. Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi network (not 5GHz)
2. Open the Kibolu app and tap "Add Device"
3. Follow the in-app pairing instructions
4. Enter your WiFi password when prompted
5. Wait for the connection confirmation (usually 10-15 seconds)

🚨 Troubleshooting tip: If pairing fails, check that you're on the 2.4GHz band. Most home routers broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz — look for a network name without "5G" in it. The feeder does not support 5GHz WiFi.

Step 4: Set Your Feeding Schedule (60 seconds)

In the app, tap "Schedule" and set up your pet's meals:

• Number of meals: Choose 1 to 6 meals per day
• Time: Set the exact time for each meal
• Portion size: Adjust from 5g to 390g per meal

Step 5: Record Your Voice (20 seconds)

This optional feature is a game-changer for pets with separation anxiety:

1. In the app, tap "Voice Recording"
2. Hold the record button and say something like "Dinner time!" or your pet's name
3. The recording (up to 10 seconds) will play every time food is dispensed

Step 6: Fill the Hopper and Test (30 seconds)

1. Open the top lid of the feeder
2. Pour in dry kibble (2-15mm size, up to 2 liters)
3. Close the lid securely
4. In the app, tap "Feed Now" to test an instant dispense
5. Watch the food drop into the stainless steel bowl — done!
